Where's Your Pride?

Today’s NaBloPoMo prompt is a bit different than the others: Everybody needs a pat on the back now and then. Thank yourself for something you’re proud of having done recently, and then tell us about it.

Well sometimes it’s hard to give ourselves credit for the little things, so I’m glad this was brought up. Most recently I attended a meditation class and a class on Earth’s energys. Both were something I knew I was interested in, but was also a bit timid about doing. I’m not usually very comfortable in group settings. However, the classmates and teachers of both classes felt extremely chilled out and did not make me nervous at all. So, I consider a brave thing for me to do both classes and really try to get the most out of it. It’s hard for me to step out of my comfort zone, especially when groups of people are involved. *pat pat pat*

Life news: Guess what? I know where I’m going to be traveling to in September! I’m going to be in Seattle, WA for 30 days! Yay I’m so excited. I’ve never traveled on my own before. I’ve never been away from home that long. Lot’s of “I’ve nevers” and other scary new things. In all reality I have been in the state of Washington twice. I’ve been to Mt. St. Helens and a few other places I don’t remember. I visited many years ago when I was young. Once when I was just a toddler and I drew all over my Aunt’s walls with BIG, BLACK permanent marker one night. That made ‘vacation’ a little less fun for me I believe. I’m sort of intrigued by the nature aspect out there. I have no real knowledge about hiking or mountains or anything, but I’d love to visit some waterfalls or lakes if I can. Just not sure what my chances are of getting eaten by a large carnivore are…

Wishing you all the best on this hump day (feels more like a slump day)! So what are you proud of?
